- OS X Tiger
August 2007:
Have you ever been talking with a
tech support person who wanted to know the EXACT error you received
when you had a problem, or have you wanted an easy way to save your
network settings or e-mail account information? Well, I use these
keys every day to make graphic files from dialog boxes and
windows
that
appear
on
my
Mac.
Use these to keep a record of windows that appear when you have problems,
or want to keep a record of your settings. Note: the Command ( ) key
is often called the Apple™ key (because most keyboards have an Apple™ logo as well as on
the key).
When you "take a picture" with these
keystrokes, a PNG picture file will appear on your desktop.
